travelling under endless bridges, through and out of vienna. finally in the middle of the river once more. we will leave austria behind us in a few hours and in so doing will have cut the cord. we will cross slovakia and go to our next stop, budapest. there is a press conference there and the eu-departure formalities to deal with. our next concert is in 4 days, in osijek, croatia.
it is nice to lie in bed after a trying day and to feel the water flowing beneath me. the gentle rocking, the gurgling and murmur of the bow waves...

Vienna was trying, for starters because of the heat, that scorched the city. i'm also not used to being among people any more. the water and the boat are now my world, beyond that is foreign hustle and bustle. i went to a dressmaker with the girls in order to get the stage costumes reworked, completed my fishing tackle with bait, line, leaders ..., visited tseten and got prayer flags as well as tea for the journey. I was absoutely whacked when I came back to the ship at 9pm.
