i start the day with a dive into the Danube from the roof of the barracks ship.

We are still far from having a soundcheck. On the stage there's drilling, welding, cabling, screwing, soldering, programming ..., nonetheless there's anticipation in the "village". Deckchairs are opened up and there's sunbathing.

The costume tryouts bring a surprise: Only every other costume fits! In view of the current problems it gives me a smile.

We found distraction with a session that took place not on the designated stage, but rather on the roof of the barracks ship.

Now I am lying in the cabin that has been heated to boiling by the hottest day of the year so far. The band are still playing, the echo returns from the opposite bank. For the next 12 weeks we are a community of fate.
