29th august - bratislava

we have had different weather since yesterday evening in komarom. until two days ago we didn't miss any opportunity to jump into the danube to cool off. now it's cold and damp, the floodwaters around us are cold and forbidding. it is a slow journey upstream. docking in bratislava the current and a mooring place that is much too small gives us bother. but the captain and the crew get it about right. afterwards he said that it was the first time he thought he might not manage it. we still have time to invite our slovakian guests "druzina" on board to do the technical rigging with them and then everything kicks off. they give an engaged performance and thrill their listeners, so that we find the audience in a great mood when we start our set. after 4, actually 5 days of travelling we are happy to be standing on stage again despite the many adventures and concerts we already have behind us. despite the unfamiliar cold we and also the audience come to a good working temperature.
