Hubert von Goisern – ZU LEISE? & ZU LAUT! Tour 2027

Hubert von Goisern - zu leise? After a three-year break from the stage, Hubert von Goisern announces a 2027 tour – an open musical landscape balancing forward-looking perspectives and reflections on the past. Loud and quiet. Whether it's too loud or too quiet is a question he leaves to the audience.

"Too loud? Really? I don't think about that. I'm more interested in where that boundary lies for the audience."

"I go into every concert curious about what will actually happen that evening — at least as curious as the audience."

When Hubert von Goisern sets off on tour again in 2027, three years will have passed since he last performed before an audience in a traditional concert setting. But he was never inactive during that time.

As part of the 2024 European Capital of Culture, Goisern spent an entire summer out on the streets — with spontaneous, concerts announced at short notice, changing guests and lineups. Musical encounters that defied planning. The street created closeness and opened up a new artistic freedom.

"I was never gone. I was out there, on the street, playing — with whomever happened to be around. I invited people to join me and whoever had the time joined in. Learning to deal with constantly changing situations was both a challenge and a source of enrichment. We played around 50 concerts. It wasn't a holiday — it was better than a holiday."

Hubert von Goisern - zu laut!Much of what emerged in 2024 will continue to resonate — not as a concept, but as an attitude.

Hubert von Goisern has always been an artist who avoids the predictable. His music moves between tradition and innovation, between quiet moments and radical breaks. His style has never been static — it's always been in motion.

"I'm actually someone who prepares for everything very carefully. But this was about experimenting, about allowing myself to be surprised. What fascinates me is the interplay, connecting things that might not belong together at all. I've never repeated myself — so why should I start now?"

The new tour will pick up exactly there: not as a reproduction of existing programmes, but as an open musical field where things are allowed to develop. Loud and quiet — as different musical approaches that will run throughout the tour.

"I know some people would be happy if I just played familiar songs. But I have enough to do meeting my own expectations. Besides, there are also those who would be disappointed if I didn't come up with anything new."

Time as a quiet companion
"Don't you hear how time passes…?"
Is there anything more fleeting than music?
It is as ephemeral as time itself.

Prick up your ears and listen.
