4th April 2008 This year's Amadeus Austrian Music Awards will be awarded in Vienna on Friday, 18th April. All the big names of the Austrian music business are expected at the Vienna Gasometer. Hubert von Goisern and his band will be setting the mood for an exciting musical evening. The two-times Amadeus winner has just finished his new CD, which will be released on 23rd May and the first musical preview of S'NIX will form the kick-off for Amadeus. PULS 4 will broadcast the show live at 20.15 hrs, ProSieben Austria will follow on Saturday, 19th April at 20.15 hrs. 22nd January 2008 Pop conversation with special guest Hubert von Goisern The quartet will be complete this time as Hubert von Goisern joins regulars Bernhard Flieher, Clemens Panagl (both Salzburger Nachrichten) and Helmut Hollerweger (Salzburger Fenster) as guest. He will be taking the time to share a few memories of legendary records in his life, even though he has no time. The Goiserer is currently preparing the second part of his three year Linz Danube tour. In the coming summer he will be sailing the Danube upstream, as well as turning into numerous tributaries. 12th December 2007 The first date for the Linz Europe Tour 2008 is now set. On the 28th June Hubert von Goisern's concert ship will be making a stop in Deggendorf. The identity of the guest artist who will be coming on board at this stop will be revealed in January. Before Hubert von Goisern and his band set sail again, they will also be giving a couple of concerts on dry land. On 30th May they will be playing at the Kaltenberg Arena and on the following day they are set to appear in Hubert's hometown of Bad Goisern! Hubert von Goisern has shown many different sides of himself on stage. This time the motto is loudspeakers on, full power out. With a powerfully grooving band brilliant variations of the best songs of the last 20 years will emerge, along with new songs from the studio album due to be released in May.

The Linz Europe Tour 2007 came to an end on 1st September with a spectacular concert in front of a crowd of 8000 in Linz. Now Hubert von Goisern, his musicians and ship's crew are adjusting to life back on land after a summer full of adventure along the Danube. Preparations are already underway for next year's tour, when the concert ship will carry its musical cargo northwest along the Rhine-Main and Neckar, all the way to Rotterdam. The dates for the 2008 tour will be released soon. In the spring a 3-part documentary about the first stage of the Linz Europe Tour will be shown on the ORF and later on 3SAT and other EBU partners. Filmed over the course of the tour, it documents the challenges and musical meetings that HvG encountered this summer as he sailed the Danube with his concert ship, down to the Black Sea and back again. A particular musical groove was found between the Moldovan band Zdob si Zdub and Hubert von Goisern when they played together in Romania and the Ukraine and now this contact is bearing further fruits. Next year will see the release of their first joint musical endeavour. Ethno punk versions of Hubert von Goisern's popular hit Hiatamadl and a Moldovan drinking song, recently recorded together in Chisinau, will be released on the Zdob si Zdub's album Ethnomecanica in 2008. Collaborations with Rambo Amadus from Serbia and Darinka Tsekova from Bulgaria are also being planned. Hubert von Goisern will also be pretty busy in his own studio this winter. Not only does he want to record a brand new album with his band, but he will also be preparing joint songs with the artists of the West Tour, whose identities are still a secret. After the release of the new work in spring 2008, fans will be able to enjoy the new programme performed live during the Linz Europe Tour 2008. Just before HvG boards his ship again, there will be an opportunity to hear him on land again when he and his band play an open air concert in Bad Goisern, 31st May 2008, as part of the Upper Austrian Provincial Exhibition 2008.
18th October 2007 On Friday 26th October, Hubert von Goisern will be taking part in a discussion with other famous guests on the subject of homeland and the way homeland films have changed over the course of time, as well as the existence or non-existence of homeland film music. The discussion will be led by the director Julian Pölsler as part of the Homeland Film Festival at the Gwandhaus in Salzburg (26th - 28th October 2007).

29th March 2007 / updated 11th May 2007 The opening ceremony for the Wiener Festwochen 2007 on 11th May will revolve around the Gustav Holst's orchestral suite "The Planets". Hubert von Goisern will play at the Festwochen opening and serve as a musical companion as he presents the evening. He will perform with his new band, as well as sing a duet with Bobby McFerrin. The opening will be broadcast live on ORF 2 and 3sat. "Zeit im Bild" will also be reporting on the Festwochen opening evening: 11th May / ORF 2 / 19.30hrs

18th January 2007 Prelude to the Linz Europe Tour 2007 - 2009 Hubert von Goisern has found his new band, with whom he will travel the Danube on a barge converted to a stage for the Linz Europe Tour 2007 - 2009. Rehearsals are currently underway in Salzburg - not for the summer tour, but for a very special prelude concert in the beautiful French city of Cannes. As part of the international music trade fair MIDEM 2007, the SUISA and SUISA Foundation are presenting the evening "Music from the Alps" on Monday, 22nd January 2007. Three groups from Austria have been invited to appear and on this exciting musical evening Hubert von Goisern and his band will premiere their new programme before an international audience. 30th October 2006 Hubert von Goisern tours Europe as an ambassador for Linz 2009
From spring 2007 Hubert von Goisern will be travelling along the waterways of Europe on a cargo ship which has been transformed into a stage. His aim is to meet with artists from 13 Danube countries using music as a common language. The tour will stop at approximately 44 sites along the waterways of Europe and use concerts to explore the differences and similarities throughout a diverse Europe and its various regions using the language of music. Linz is both point of departure and centre of this unique project. From here Hubert von Goisern will explore the east and on his journey to the Black Sea delta will take on board musicians, who will play with him, rehearse and give concerts in 20 ports. In 2008, they will visit the West: via Passau and Regensburg to Rotterdam, making the journey back rich with completely different experiences of Europe. The home harbour of this expedition ship is Linz. Here the final "Back Home" celebration of the expedition will take place in summer 2009. A festival in the form of a large-scale concert event lasting several days and bringing together the artists of the Linz Europe Tour will be held to mark this occasion in the European capital of culture. The MS "Wallsee" will be Hubert von Goisern's tour ship. It will be pushing a barracks ship which provides room for the artists, technical staff and the project team as well as a barge with a stage specially created for the tour. All elements of a high-quality concert stage will be available as well as a recording studio to generate high-quality recording material on-site.
