MARIA DE VAL
Mëda Medusa - Maria De Val
Longtime HvG singer and percussionist releases her debut solo album
Maria De Val gained her special view of the world early on: as a Ladin woman in South Tyrol, a south Tyrolean in Italy, an Italian in Germany and not least as a drummer in the male-dominated world of music: "I don't want to claim that I suffered as a result, but of course it sharpens the senses." Musically speaking, it's no wonder that Maria Moling, who grew up in a mountain village in the Ladin alps, is at home with many instruments: drums, guitars, bass, keys, sequencer as well as theremin and marimba. She has demonstrated this as a multi-instrumentalist on grand stages with artists such as Hubert von Goisern and now all the more impressively on her debut album Mëda Medusa (AT). First the time after earlier band projects (Ganes, ME + MARIE) her voice is given appropriate room to develop.
maria de val is releasing her first solo album :))) listen, listen in, listen carefully … congratulations!!! i'm really excited for maria's great release and am determined to go to one of her concerts. she is an exceptional artist and it was / is a great pleasure and privilege to have had her at my side at studio recordings and concerts for nineteen years - and hopefully again one day in the distant future.
