In memoriam David Bronner

Heast as nit, wie die Zeit vergeht?
Can't you hear how time is passing? It must have been the end of 1991 when I asked David to produce the song.
We had worked together in the past and had often been at loggerheads. I'm not at all sure whether he actually ever took my opinions into account, but I was sure that I had found the right person for this song. He exceeded all expectations - his own too, I believe, which is saying something. If I remember correctly, we worked on it for two days and nights. In contrast to previous collaborations, there wasn't a single difference of opinion and we were all enchanted by the final product.

Incidentally, it wasn't Hiatamadl that helped me get a record deal, but rather this very Heast as nit. 
Once David had played it for the A&R manager at Ariola-BMG, every door opened.
"Die Jungen san alt ‚word'n und die Alten san g'storb'n…" The young have grown old, and the old have died.
David, at just 58 years old, you have left us far too soon.
