Zeiten & Zeichen brings together all of the ideas and many influences that Hubert von Goisern has been able to collect over the decades as an active musician, as a traveller and as a person curious about the world.
The new album is a modern distillate of this musical journey.
Alongside Zeiten & Zeichen's album release, a selection of singles from the album were filmed for the audience patiently awaiting the start of Hubert von Goisern's live tour, postponed until 2022. With help from filmmakers Stefan Wascher and Petra Hinterberger, the compositions sprang to life in settings as diverse as the iconic Lehar Theater in Bad Ischl, a sun-drenched river bank, and the cobbled alleys of Salzburg Old Town.

Brauner Reiter - Hubert von Goisern has never been at a loss for political statements in his songs. And Brauner Reiter deals with exactly what you immediately associate with the title: the misfortune into which a society plunges, if it gives free rein to right wing movements. And there's the promise that everything will improve if you let go of backward thinking. All packaged in a dark, punchy rock number with hard guitar riffs and pounding rhythm. Ominous but forgiving. Dark, but stirring.

Eiweiß - Hubert von Goisern entered the Austrian album charts at number 2 with his new album Zeiten & Zeichen and following the singles Freunde ... (das Leben ist lebenswert), Brauner Reiter and A Tag wie heut, here's the third video – this time for Eiweiß: a swinging, cheerful, almost Caribbean-esque song, which packs a punch.
"[…] The interplay between ballads and liveliness, between melancholy and irony, provide for some surprising moments in the 17 new songs on Zeiten & Zeichen. On the track Eiweiß (Protein) for example. It's about a polar bear: " Er wär so gern Veganer und lutschert nur Stana … Er wird amoi Tibeter. Irgendwann später." (He'd so love to be a vegan, he'd only suck stones … one day he'll be a Tibetan. Sometime later.) But until that day, he still likes flesh and blood, because he needs protein – at any price.
