Goiserer: Before returning to the stage, there's an award to present

After a three year break, Hubert von Goisern has an intense year ahead of him.

He has peace and quiet for now. He's still writing "behind closed doors". Hubert von Goisern is currently writing the lyrics for his new album. The music is already recorded - partly with familiar figures from previous albums, partly with new guests, about whom he's "giving nothing away". The album doesn't have a title yet, but it should be finished in the spring and will be "musically very varied". A tour to accompany the album was announced some time ago and begins in September in Salzburg.

After a three year break, the Goiserer will be back on stage before that though. In May he's publishing flüchtig, his first novel, under his real name Hubert Achleitner. There will be a few book tour dates (5th June at Das Kino, Salzburg). Before he himself steps back into the limelight though, he'll be giving centre stage to talented people and engaged culture workers when the Hubert von Goisern Culture Award is presented for the third time. "I had a lot of good fortune - I want to give back something to those people who otherise often operate below the radar of funding sources," he says of his motivation to donate €15,000 every year. Applications for the award can be submitted via the Goiserer's website until the end of March.
